Could any one tell me why there are two oil drain plugs on a 5.0 l engine,in my crown vic? Thank you

because there are two sumps. the front sump is there to clear the oil pump. the rear sump is where the majority of the oil is stored. YOu have to drain both during an oil changehttp://secondhandracing.com/Home.aspx
