Only use an intake bolt if it is a stud style like our oil pickup or an exhaust bolt for a heat shield which you torque down first, then use a nut to hold the coil bracket down.
A canister can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
I don't think they are that sensitive of a piece of equipment. You can see where the coil is located on my Dad's 61, and that's the stock location and angle.
