my 81 merc is running realy weird, today when i was commin home, i was stopping at a light and it started surging and sounded like it was a V6, lol and wouldent stay runnin, so i reved it, and it was puking black smoke so when i got home i figured that maybe the choke was stuck, but its fine. what the hell is wrong? i had a similar prob in the summer when it was shacking and sounded like a V6, so i let it sit and it ran good after that :drug:

basically feels like it aint runnin on all cylinders...it has an origonal coil, lol, but its OK when u bring up the RPMs

its fucked, again, went out today to see what i could do, so in my time off thinking, i gave it a couple good reves, then it jus ideled by its self and runs as normal :drug: this is real fucken mind boggling, i drove it around the block and its all good now, no one has had this prob?
