    Longtubes...

This has got to be the most miserable fuckin job ever!!!

I can't seem to get the headers to work, and the hobby shop is outta argon :cuss:

I am trying to talk to flowtech or hooker to see if they will build a custom set of headers for our cars.

I already told them if they do, I will have a shitload more people in line for a set...

ill cut down my passenger side, test them out on a 302 car and if they work let them copy them.

Duece aren't yours the mid length though? If they are going to make a set they should be some full length ones!

the only difference between mine and longtubes is that my drivers side has to make a 45deg bend and the passenger side needs about 10-15deg. both of wich would still have plenty of clearence. also i dont think you can run your colum shifter with anything longer than shorties.

Ok, i am sick of not being able to drive my beloved GMGT.

I just ordered a set of headman shorties and offroad H from summit.

The longtube battle is NOT over!!!

Hey Duece that's why they make floor shifters!!

I've got a B&M Pro-stick shifter sitting on a shelf. I've got a 351W sitting in my garage on an engine stand with some new full length Headman headers. Now I just need to get a CV or GM to put it in!!

Yep just like that except mine has the T-handle conversion.

I believe the guys that would be running the full length headers are the ones that will be doing the most mods or are willing to modify or change stuff like the column shifter. Otherwise the guys that what to keep things more stock are just farther ahead going with shorties.

                            I want longtubes.

And Since I will eventually convert to a manual trans, so be it.

However, I need to drive the car 1300 miles in 30 days.

I need to get him driveable...

Aren't you also doing the 351W swap in the future? If you are why not wait until you swap engines? Otherwise you'll have to go thru all the hassle all over again because headers that work on a 302 won't work with the 351W(I'm talking clearances not the mounting flanges ).

Since you need to get it back on the road grab some shorties or throw the stock manifolds back on it. Get r done!
