    will this work?

is this worth the price? and will it work with my stock 5.0 engine?

Not a bad price. It'll work well-if you have a bunch of other mods. Definite overkill for a lopo. And a bit much for a stock HO also. It'll require less modification than a exploder intake and it's really light. I had one and sold it. I was stupid.

These suckas go for around $600 new. Won't work well on a speed density system unless you are able to tune your computer for the increased airflow. I want one really bad. GT-40 will increase your HP/torque in the lower and mid rpms as well as the upper range.

My worst enemies are those who presume me to be harmless. They cannot imagine how much I resent and disdain them, or just how great a threat they would face if I could get at them. Everything in their behavior speaks of insult and presumptuousness, and for now it is all I can do to make constructive use of my anger toward them. At this time, I just make a list of them and keep a watch on. Some day, with the help of time, space, and circumstance, I will be able to humiliate them properly - not in a manner they would enjoy, but in a style calculated to make them wish that they had never been born.

Negative........it doesn't give up significant torque compared the other GT-40 style intakes. It works great with a stock or modified HO motor. The weight savings is a bonus. How do you figure that the mods necessary are any different than an Explorer intake?

Just a guess, because it already has the IAT in place vs drilling/tapping the Explorer lower to add it?

Increased air flow has absolutely no effect on SD, it doesnt measure the amount of air coming in the motor. you can install AFR heads, GT40 intake, headers and a 3" exhaust, the computer wont know the difference.
The cam is the biggest factor for SD, since the cam significantly effects Manifold Vacuum, which is what the MAP sensor measures and how SD calculates engine load and fuel map (along with 02,TPS, CTS, IAT, etc)
