Yes, some have longer studs than others.
I don't have a conclusive list of which brands make longer ones, but referring to images on RockAuto, Motorcraft SW1951C looks like it has the extra-long studs. ACDelco looks like it produces one that's longer than the usual stubby ones, but shorter than the Motorcraft. -

I just picked up the one with longer studs by accident, I always kinda wondered why there was so little room left once all the hook ups were on there.
