A tiny bit? My '90 Grand Marquis has a smoother nose than my old '89 Town Car. The rear window section "looks" smoother too. The box Town Car is a brick. (I guess I'm starting the arguement, I didn't want to start).

there is and easy way to find oput what is more aerodynamic. lets get 1 of each variety of box togeather and rent out a wind tunnel for a day. it should only cost a few thousand each.

I have a cheaper idea. Does anyone have an original sales brochure or magazine article for each panther? Didn't they post drag coefficient numbers in there somewhere?

I could probobly get access to the full scale wind tunnel as NASA. Would take a shit load of work on my part, but it may even be free

I know that the 98+ have a higher drag coeffient than the 92-97 vics. Many vic owners who have had both body styles can attest to this.

I think they did put the drag coefficent on the specs back in the 80's. My old 1988 acura integra had a coefficient of 0.34, supposed to be really good back then.

I'm not interested in racing my '89 Colony Park (and little point in doing so). I drive hundreds/thousands of miles/ 12/26 hours (with a codriver) to dog trials and need the safest/fastest big wagon on the road. New 245/70 Avids, air shocks, rear sway bar, toe in and camber set to police specs.

In the Dakotas, this boat is solid as a rock with the speedo buried (90?) for hours and hours. I will get poly swaybar bushings next. Donald McCaig

My 87 had a seriously f'd frame. It still wasn't too terrible. I took the 495 to 95N ramp/merge at 110mph... The 91 and my 89 both could cruise at 90+ pretty well. Not anything like my turbo mustang at 140mph though. That thing was incredible. A complete POS, but incredible.

I dont see how some of you guys with stock motors are saying much above 110mph. in my 89merk id say like 105 top speed.

                          My 93CVPI only pumped out about 123 - 124mph

I doubt my wagon could get above 70 with the screwed up transmission now, but stock engines will go far, it will take a while, but it will go far, my dads dodge ram has done over 120 stock, and the ford would have gone far if it wasn't governed at 100 mph. I also think my grandmothers 2001 Lincoln Continental would haul some ass
