    Would a 95 cv tranny fit in my 87. Im not sure how different they are

    No.

    Bell housing bolt pattern is different, and the '95 CV transmission is electronically controlled while the '87 transmission is mechanical.
    The last year for a direct swap into an '87 would be from an '89 (not sure what the first year is).
    '90-'91 will also swap, however you need to drop the pan and swap the shift linkage to make those work; if I'm not mistaken, same goes for an early '92 with the the bastard block 4.6/SBF bolt pattern/AOD.
