Can someone here explain to me how a manual valve body works in a C4 or AOD trans? I was looking at transmission upgrades little bit tonight while I was bored and want to know. I doubt Id be getting a VB for the grand marq but I do like shifting manually.

Usually you'd run one with a ratchet shifter. Fun, but perhaps not the most practical thing on the road. I'd still like to have one in a worked pickup with a big block tho :evil:86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Nitro- I have a valvebody out of my AOD that has a Transgo shift kit installed. It's not the high performance, but I don't think it would be at all comfortable if it was. I really liked the feel of it, but I'm switching to a T5.
There are also three springs to be installed "behind" the valvebody. I have all the directions. and I could send them to you. The hard part was install (I could do it a lot quicker, now, though) and the springs are a matter of removing a retaining C-clip, dropping the plate/servo/whatever, installing the spring, and putting it back together. Took me fifteen minutes to do that part.
If you (or anyone) are interested, I'd let it go for $100 + shipping (for the whole valvebody and I'll remove those springs. Directions and original box will be included.)2011 Mustang GT Premium, MT82, Kona/Saddle, HIDs, 3.73s, 19s, hood/side stripes, UPR 1.5" springs with adjustable panhard bar, and UMI solid LCAs and relocation brackets.
