what thread was it? I would like to do that to mine just to make sure I'm not leaking exhaust there.

hm, its 9/16-NC ? hmm, could have sworn it was 5/8. Either way, I remember it being a pain in the ass to find the bolts. 9/16 is not a common size fastner so maybe that was why. its been several years since I did that, so the specifics probably fell off the back of the wagon.
Where did you find a 1/2-15 ? Thats not standard for anything. 1/2-13 is course, 1/2-20 is fine. Some gunsmithing stuff involves whacko thread pitch though.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

After butchering the Thermostat housing and part of the Weiand manifold to TRY and make this HEI dizzy fit, and wasting half a day, I've ordered a Petronix 91281 that I'll install in a good 1969 Autolite I have.....
I'm guessing the HEI works great with a stock manifold but not with this mod. pay a little more and go for the petronix set up.
now I need long Manifold studs for the drivers side header. Have to reinstall the heat riser. i've removed the butterfly, tapped the filled the holes... so ll should be ell.

Duraspark distributors fit with that. Then again, the bottom of a Dspark distributor is the same as a breaker point dizzy, and it has an adapter for the larger cap to prevent arc-over due to higher voltages.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

They're all the same, but yes. Dspark distributor with the matching box will get you going. It will also let you use the same plug wires. The breaker point distributors usually had an inverted socket on the cap itself, so the wires that fit the stock, Duraspark, or HEI cap won't fit on them.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

I've got the early dizzy and a good set of 8 1/2 mm Wires off a 67 Camaro. Going to try that first. Besides.... I had a friend helping me take the car apart and .... yes .... he pulled the spark plug connector off one of the wires. (they were new 8mm's) I have ends but will try the Petronics unit in the 69 dizzy first.
Any bases for differences in HP changing over to the 4 barrel, duals, hot distributor, electric fan unit ?

If its tuned right it will probably do better, but you'll probably have to play with carb jetting and distributor advance curves to get the most out of it.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

How much hood clearance do you have with the Weiand intake, carb and air filter on?__________________________________________________
