well to update you guys on my current status, the lower intake is pulled and i found some clumps of oil under the pushrods, got the crank pulley off, but i need the right size socket to fit the crank bolt and i need a balancer puller. Removed the smog pump and blocked off the vacuum lines going to it, and thats about where i am. all is going well so far.1989 Lincoln Town Car - "Anabelle" - Original block, .030 over with SpeedPro pistons, rods fitted with ARP hardware, FRPP +volume oil pump, GT-40 3bar heads, Crane 1.72 rockers, 89' Fox cam, 93' Cobra lower intake, Explorer upper and 65mm TB, 93' Lightning EGR spacer, K&N intake kit from a 4.0L Ranger, 19lb/hr injectors w/ 87 Mark VII ECM, cat/smog deletes, Big Brake conversion, 3.55 K-Code Trac-Lok/Disc brake rear axle, CVPI LCA's w/1" sway bar in rear, wagon front sway bar, BBK 2.5" off-road H-Pipe, Flowmaster super 40s, HPP wheels, 3G alternator w/LMR.com wiring kit, gear reduction starter conversion, Best 1/4 time: 16.0 @ 85mph.

I wouldn't know how much I'm going to like it... but I'm switching to a T5 at the same time, so the feeling will be exaggerated.
I can't sleep at night because I'm too excited about getting this done. I have a $500 shopping cart on Summit waiting for my paycheck Friday and I pick up the motor Saturday (paid for it today).
I actually passed on getting a MINT 1983 Mustang GT 5-speed for $1200 (considerably less than I'm spending on all this) because I want my wagon more than something that could easily be much faster.2011 Mustang GT Premium, MT82, Kona/Saddle, HIDs, 3.73s, 19s, hood/side stripes, UPR 1.5" springs with adjustable panhard bar, and UMI solid LCAs and relocation brackets.
1992 Explorer Eddie Bauer, slight lift, 34s, and A/C...
1979 Bronco Custom, 351M/C6/NP205, 4" lift, 35s, lots of fender trimming.

Mine has crappy exhaust right now. I'm sure it will be better once thats taken care of. It certainly goes right now, but between the crap exhaust and the vacuum leaks making it run a little funny, I'm sure it isn't optimal. I already had decent gears (3.55 factory LSD) so my stock lopo was a bit perkier than most. That motor actually ran quite decent untill it lost oil pressure and started to knock. It ran strong right up till I parked it. If I had all this to do over again, I'd probably have done a gt40 motor but at the time I didn't know any better. I learned a lot doing the swap, and I've learned a lot more since then.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Those are police wheels in the picture. I have some cheap (free) 15x8 wheels with 4" backspacing for the next set of tires- Yokohama Avid S/T 295/50/15s in the back and 255/60/15s in the front.
While I'm burning those up, I'll be saving for a set of Cragar 16x10 (5" backspace) for the rear and 16x8 (4" backspace) for the front. Same tires up front, but 325s in the back.
Still gotta get this motor/transmission stuff lined up, though. It's very intimidating, considering I don't have anyone to help me out.2011 Mustang GT Premium, MT82, Kona/Saddle, HIDs, 3.73s, 19s, hood/side stripes, UPR 1.5" springs with adjustable panhard bar, and UMI solid LCAs and relocation brackets.
