No Smog Pump or EGR in my Vic (egr sensor still connected in the closed position),no problems whatsoever, still runs the same as it did before.I've done this on 2 different Vic's so far with the same results.I'm not sure what some of you guys experiences where, but both my mechanic buddy and myself have confirmed several times my 5.0Lo is not running lean or rich,at all.

Well, if you want more, then push the pedal more...... also it may be closed at partial pressure. It closes when the vacume drops enough as to not be able to hold it open. So this could be at 50% throttle or it could be at 85%, just depends on things. EGR works to descrease emissions because having an innert gas added to the combustion chamber causes a more complete combustion. This complete combustion is cleaner than a partial combustion. The EGR does not limit performance.Last edited by Blaze86Vic; 07-17-2006, 12:11 AM.

actually there is a vacuum reservoir and a one-way check valve so it always has vacuum. Its electroniclly controlled via a solenoid over on the fender. It gets me through inspection with flying colors, doesn't hurt anything, and makes the flower child in me happy. Its all good.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
