            well the botom end of my motor is all junk... :cuss: crank thrust is .014 it should be less then .007. cam lobes are smoked. looks like im doing a complete rebuild.... now i need to pull money out of my ass to pay for parts i was not expecting. $530.00 in basic stock internals. I hot tanked the block today. tomarrow i will take all its measurments. I hope i dont need machine work :bs:

              I would avoid doing a carb swap on your car Chachi. Even though it looks all clean and crap, you are going to be bouncing around in that, and a carb is not suited to handel that very well. Where as the CFI will not be effected by the hydrolics.

                if i did do a carb swap i would use a lowrider carb. but thats not a prioraty right now

                  I figured that, but for price, a stock CFI will hold you over just fine. A fresh engine under that should gain 50hp over your last dyno run.....

                    thats what im hopeing. its going to be bored .030 over. the block goes to the machine shop monday morning, i hope.. so i will need new pistons. and i'll be installing ho heads port and polishing them and the intake. and if money is there mabe headders

                        Also, a cheap cam and lifter set out of summit would benefit you nicely, or even a set of 1.7 roller rockers...

                          update

                          the engine has been bored .030 over, installed aluminum pistons, 86 H.O. heads decked .008 & ported and pollished, lunati cam and lifters, stock replacement crank, federal mugal bearings, new oil pump, timing chain & gears. and lots of paint....


                          She was installed today and runs great. i only ran it for about 20 minutes timed it and reved it to break in the cam. then i changed the oil and filter for the first time. Im going to try to put some miles on her before i run it on the dyno
