When it showed that code, we put in a complete EGR and position sensor, no change. Car has excellent oil pressure, and light never comes on even when hot at a light.
I am anal by nature, and this drives me nuts, but............I will just have to as I said put it in N when stopped ....then back into D when taking off.

She rides beautiful on the road, and does have "balls"..........so I just have to "accept" that it is what it is

Thanks to all for weighed in............you can see the offending beast when we all hopefully meet.

Going to borrow a vac guage, where do I "plumb" the tube into?

If there is reasoning behind it, like compression and leakdown tests, and maybe an oil analysis or something thats actually hard data, thats a different story. Elsewise, I call BS.

Manifold vacuum source, Easiest place to reach would be to Tee into the map sensor vacuum line.

thats one way to do it. I usually use the one for the fuel pressure regulator, or you can use the one for the evap solenoid over by the battery. it doesn't matter a ton really. I can never find tees around that fit anything, so I tend to go for the disconnection and substitution method.

the fuel pressure regulator is the silver can on the fuel rails... the evap solenoid is between the battery and inner fender hump... has 2 wires going to one end and a T vacuum line on the other.
