    well, pump is coming out anyways. driving tonight, while i had a half full tank of gas, the "low fuel" warning came on. the needle then immediately dropped past "E" and sat there for about two minutes before coming back up to half and the low light went dark. happened twice more. safe bet is the sending unit.

    the car feels like it has a slight miss above 35 mph while cruising, almost like a stumble. worse at higher speeds and worse while the A/C is running. we pulled some trouble codes at the shop and got the following;

    (34) EVP – EGR did not respond properly during test – EVP
    (18) Check base timing & advance function – Timing Tests
    (14) Ignition pickup (PIP) was erratic – Ignition Systems

    Overall I'm worried I have a myriad of issues of here and am beginning to regret my decision to buy this car. Its my 4th GMQ and I have never had the kinds of problems I am having here. Any input is welcome.

      14, 18, and the stumble makes me suspect the pickup and/or the TFI module are wonky

      34 could be a bad sensor, or a nugget of crap stuck in the EGR valve. What it means is that the EGR valve sensor says the valve is not fully closed for whatever reason. EGR problems can also contribute to engine stumbling issues, but so can needing plug wires and a fuel filter.

        14 and 18 are historical codes, 34 shows as active and historic. i am going to do a full tune up and replace the EGR valve. i also read a TSB about rerouting 2 of the spark plug wires for a stumbling issue and code 14/18 concern so when i do the tune up I will re-route the wires accordingly. i hate to throw parts at a problem but honestly alot of these parts or old or possibly original and it can't hurt to have fresh stuff under the hood.
