    My carb is FuXored

today i removed the throttle body from the venturi body and replaced the gasket. and my theory of the secondary throttle shaft leaking was confirmed, the shaft had play in it and fluid would pass from the blade side to the outside. So i have a few options, either find a new baseplate , have this one fixed, or swap on the 650DP carb which requires new plumbing. After it has wearmed up, it idles from about 700-about 1400 it will start out high slow down and then jump back up.

i dont have the money for a new carb, i dont even have the money for brake rotors, because i have not been paid for last week yet. And Tom id take that carb if you ccould get it to me by tomorrow evening. My friend says that he might have a base plate but i wont know for a few hours. At the very least ill just have to replumb my fuel system after the regulator and run the 650 Double Pumper

If your carb has nylon/teflon bushings it is an easy fix. If mileage is not a concern, DP rocks on the track.
