So I've been smelling fuel lately mostly on startup and when i turn it off but i have determined that the front injector on the driver side has a leaking o ring, I was wondering if there was some way to just change the o ring with out removing the entire upper intake beacuse the injector isnt under the plenum.

Two bolts on each side hold down the fuel rails. If you can get to them, you can probably wiggle it up enough to change one.
But pulling the upper intake is super easy and probably reduces the aggravation level.2020 F250 - 7.3 4x4 CCSB STX 3.55's - BAKFlip MX4

the upper intake gasket can be reused, but it's usually a good idea to get a new one just in case. Then if you don't need it, take it back.

if you're pulling the upper intake, I'd take the time to change the vacuum lines and the PCV system parts while you're in there. Replace the two small coolant hoses to the throttle body too. they're a real pain to change with the intake in place. Now would also be the time to change the valve cover gaskets if they are leaky.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

excellent point. Also, turn the key on to prime the system up before putting the upper intake back on. You don't want to have to pull that if something leaks. I caught a car on fire doing that once, and I can tell you it really sucks. That little goof cost me a transmission and part of a wiring harness.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Definitely don't put it off. I had an injector o-ring blow on my F150 so bad that gasoline was dripping steadily off the bottom of the motor, and all of the low spots in the lower intake were full of pools of boiling gasoline!! Literally! This got that bad QUICK too... only the last time I had driven it did I smell a little gas odor, and a quick look around didn't show me anything obvious.
LUCKY LUCKY me I had just recently done a water-spritz plug wire arc check because I found a couple wires too close to hot/rubbable things.
I cleaned out the intake and fuel rails where the injector seats really well with q-tips and dielectric grease, and lube those o-rings too. Go ahead and get 8 o-ring kits and do them all, they are cheap.
Yep, this is gas. It had stopped boiling by the time I got my camera.
