What class of catalytic converter was on the '79 up Grand Marquis & Crown Vic? Can one put an accurate value on them? Where? Thanks all.

the OE used 2-cell converters. Each side has a pre and post cat. Replacements will come with both in one housing instead of separate like the OE. As for a value? pretty much scrap value will be between $20 and $40 in the states if they're not nuked. If they're nuked, scrap metal value. This would be at a recycler/scrap yard. As for new ones? they range from universal weld on types from about $80 to direct bolt on at $180 (again, states pricing).
