Factory Ignition Wire Layout - Anyone have a picture?

I purchased a set of Motorcraft spark plug wires, as I was having an ever so slight miss on the 1987. AutoZone wires - and I finally saw it arc to the manifold last night. I tried to match up the path used by the AutoZone wires, but even then the wires didn't match up perfectly. I have 7 and 8 separated by the plastic guides to keep them from having crossfire.

I'm trying to make sure I have my ignition wires run properly - does anyone have a picture (or pictures) of how the ignition wires would have been run from the factory on a 87-91 5.0?

Was wondering about issues with DSII type ignition wires. My factory wiring on the P72 run the wires through several wire separators but they take parallel paths. ???? Must not be subject to cross-firing with these 8mm wires?

if the wires are good, it shouldn't cross-fire. You can run 7 and 8 (or 5 and 6, depending) with the other cylinders in between for most of the stretch if you're concerned about it. I've never had a problem with it myself though and mine are parallel pretty much the whole run from distributor to plugs.

Thanks gadget73, you know sometimes the factory engineers change their minds after all is done and it's up to the "field guys" to make changes. I've had a ton of CVPIs and I was always curious about how neatly the factory wires were "dressed parallel" in the plastic separators. Other SBFs have "boots" and/or "covers" that basically wrap the wires at the distributor (thinking about some 5.0s I've seen).

Got three Ford's and never worried about the particular routing nor had any issues.
