    Is it needed?

About to replace the EGR valve on my '86 "five-o"........ do I have to utilize any gasket cement in any amount, or just button up everything dry?

    Thanks!

dry.... just make sure the surfaces are clean and not scratched.

Should have a gasket in there. But you don't need to run any rtv or anything if that's what you're getting at.

Gasket only FTW! Did so on my '87 GM with no issues.
