So the engine is in...and it is running pretty rough....the brain box...the Mark series ECM, does one have to tune or monkey with this?
Is the firing order the same as the lo po?
Is there a need to change the 02 sensors?

(engine is 5.0 HO from a mark series)

an HO does not use the same firing order as a non-HO. It needs to be 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 for an HO engine.

should not need any monkeybusiness to make a Mark VII ECM run on a basically stock HO. Thats what they run in a Mark VII.

New oxygen sensors aren't a bad idea if they are old, but they don't do anything until the engine warms up over 120F or so.

bad injector, bad wires, bad engine, huge intake leak, bad ignition module, timing WAY THE HELL out. Lots of stuff to check.
