I'm in the process of waking the LTD out of hibernation and it has a coolant leak or two (in the only parts of the cooling system I haven't replaced yet, of course)
It's dribbling out of the plastic piece that joins the two pieces of heater hose running along the passenger side valve cover. I don't know if it's a restrictor valve or what but it's leaking and has to go.
I just plan to stick a piece of tube in there to join the pieces of heater hose back together but I don't want to have to pull the piece, take it around to find something that matches, go back and hope it fits. I want to make a piece up first and have it ready before I even remove the plastic one that's currently on and leaking.
Seems like the ends of the plastic piece are flared slightly so the hose clamps have something to grab onto. I'll have to do that as well.
