with the proper wrench, not that bad. Getting in there is the bitch of it, but if you have one of those fancy wrenches with the flexy handle or the right socket and a flex head ratchet its not that bad. Soak them in oil for a few hours before trying to get them out. It may help.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Last time I swaped one I used a large box wrench with another large box on the end to add even more leverage. Any sort of bust rust type product will help but as Panetera said, if it is rusted in there heat would really help and may be the only way. I've done this two different ways.
I've either taken the cats off and gotten in there with a wrench.
Or I've taken the manifolds off and done it with them on the workbench.
Considering how easy it is to remove those manifolds, doing them on the bench is the way to go.
Of course I'm doing all this on clean, rust free southern cars.
Up north this might not be so much fun.

Bosch was OEM. Actually they were the OEM for a lot of the stock EFI parts if you look closely at them. Their logo is on most of the parts.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

I would soak them for days, weeks before with PB blaster... lol.
You can buy a handy socket made just for O2 sensors at most part stores - there are many different types, some work better than others.
It helps to have a swivel joint, long ratchet and various extensions too. I fought with the ones on the 85 for a while, and it was not due to lack of tools or access from underneath. Getting a tool on it is only half the battle...Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements
