I'm running a manual ECM here in my MKVI, (the A9S, which is a Cali '88 Mustang Manual MAF ECM), along with the '87 SEFI harness from a Marq, and have had no problems whatsoever. The car runs perfect. I have vids to prove this as well. Only had to wire in a VSS signal to it, to correct a stall on deceleration issue it had at first.

Nothing to do with the ECM or the MAF conversion. On Fox body Mustangs, people are running into problems when doing a manual transmission swap. I am still not convinced any of this applies to a Panther chassis AND the the problem doesn't appear to effect the 87 harnesses, since it doesn't even have all the wires an 88 up harness has.

Ok, good info to know anyway, since I'm gonna be converting over a buddys '79 Bronco soon, and the harness we have is from an '89 Vic. I'll make sure to find an Auto ECM for him, just to avoid 'ol Murphy.
