Vaccum lines (all) diagram for 1987 CV 302 lopo?

    All,

    Ok, I tried the search - My search-fu is . . lacking.

I'm not going to be able to do it yet because it's FREEZING and I'll likely do more harm than good with my hands shaking, but....

I get that odd hunting when at a stoplight when the car is partway warmed up. If it's really cold, it doesn't do it, and if it's warmed up, it doesn't do it.

Fuel economy is in the toilet. Last tankful was 16.2 MPG, I'd say about 60% highway.

This tankful is looking a little bit better, but I don't know yet. I am usually in 3rd or 4th gear, though I'm not doing over 55. Still, I won't be able to afford to keep driving this thing at that rate - and that sort of fuel economy definitely indicates that SOMEthing is wrong.

Still, it's a huge drop from what the car was doing not too long ago - so during my tune-up, I must've snapped some plastic vacuum lines somewhere - I hope it's as simple as that, anyway.

But while some vacuum lines are obvious, some aren't. I didn't know that some of the plastic vacuum lines were in that serrated-looking sheath, for example. No doubt there's more vacuum lines than just those for the emissions systems, power brakes, etc.

In any case, I'd like to at least track down all of them so I can inspect for damage and replace as needed - so, does anyone have a large, clear diagram of all the lines for a stock 1987 lo-po?

the one under the hood maps out all of the emission stuff. Beyond that the only other ones feed off the plastic vacuum tree on the firewall. Power brakes, cruise control and climate control source from there.

Replacing everything is DEFINITELY the way to go. Doing that gave me the confidence that whenever an issue happens, at least I don't have to trace 20+ feet of damned vacuum lines for cracks and splits.

The only way to do it. Do it all at once or keep chasing vacuum leaks until you've done it all. I say the same for real old coolant/heater hoses if there's a bad one.

Can't do it this weekend - but I might take you up on that sometime soon - maybe 2 weeks from now if the weather is good (have my son next week)
Is this something we can do within a few hours? I've never really messed with any of the intake stuff, etc., with Ford...

            PM me contact info.

Hmm . . while I'm on this . . anyone got an HO upper, bored out EGR spacer, and properly set up flipped HO TB (crap, am I remembering this all correctly?) all together? I figure if I'm taking this stuff off for doing the vacuum lines, I might as well put better stuff on....

I do... but it's a TB set up for an 86 (two pegs instead of one peg and a hole). Though I would think drilling out the one peg for the trans TV cable wouldn't be too hard. It needs gaskets though.
I also have the single hole injectors and D9S computer.
