Kind of impressive how well these things can handle compared to the stock beached whale feeling, especially when you look at how little work it is to do.

Gadget, looks like we are on pretty much the same path. Im building the car for my daughter who just turned 16. Well, thats how Im justifying the spenditures. And by father/daughter project, I mean me while she texts her friends that it still isnt done! I would be real interested in any of the engine work that you have done, suggestions that you have on it and especially a video of the exhaust note. I dont think that I am going to get any of it done before the Gatlinburg trip, but Im looking to start acquiring the pieces and want to make sure that I dont waste any $sigpic 1989 Lincoln Towncar, All Stock.....Today

79, it didnt actually take but a few hours to remove the vinyl once we figured out what we were doing. It was old and shot, not actually coming off, but pretty broken/cracked. We just found a place to get our fingers under it and then pulled. We scored it at all of the window edges and then later went back and took the trip off to get those pieces. The tough part ws the glue. Someone told us airplane stripper would take it right to bare metal. No luck, it didnt even touch it! Gasolene, a putty knive and a few evenings in the driveway took care of it.sigpic 1989 Lincoln Towncar, All Stock.....Today
