Checking timing - the round hole, or the pointer?

Ok, so, uh, yeah, I thought I knew what to look for.

I know my timing is supposed to be 10 degrees BTDC, with SPOUT disconnected and engine warm.

Ok, so I see the timing marks appear to be on the crank hub, no worries there - but the indicator . . there's a hunk of flat metal with a round opening in it, and further upward, as part of the same flat metal, there's a pointy triangle.

Which one do I point the timing light at?
