Hey guys, got an '88 grand marquis with a low idle. It seems to idle at or a little above 500 Rpms according to my sunpro tach so I was gonna ask how I could raise the idle up just a hair cause it dies when making idle turns.

Sounds like a bad idle control motor. Its the film can looking thing on the back side of the throttle body. Might be worth trying to clean it out first, but quite probably its shot.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

my sunpro tach says about 550... but my multimeter (has a hertz setting) and a little math put it closer to 700. Those sunpro gauges are close but not quite.
