just started my HO conversion already broke 2 things

    1) i was pulling off the spark plug wires and they are realy stuck hard on there and the inside metal connector thing broke on a few of em so i have to get new wires. and 2) i was trying to get to the back wires on the passengers side and i broke the smog pump pipe off the metal connector. It mustve really been rusty and it doesnt really matter cuz im shitcanning the smog pump anyways. but still it doesn't say much for things to come that might matter :chainsaw:

MAke sure to flip that pipe around, and bolt it up that way, so you wont have leaks...

Eh, no point in using old wires on a new motor anyway. No great loss.

Aren't the threads already tapped for a 1/2" or 7/16" or so bolt anyway?

if you remove the insert you can block the hole with a 5/8" x 11 in 1" legnth and some thread lock

change of subject, i soaked my heads in greased lightning so I probably need new valve seals right? how do you change them on a set of E7's?

Compress the valve springs, pull the keepers and the spring off the valve. Seals slide on or off from that point. Just put a little oil on the valve shank and where they slide down onto the guide area. While the springs are off it would be a good idea to pull the valves out and inspect them. The exhaust valves are probably more likely to be in bad shape than the intake, so if they're toast you might want to pick up a set of exhaust valves and lap them in the seats before putting the heads back together. I think a whole set of exhaust valves cost me about $65.

They sell just the ends for 8mm plug wires. You could crimp some new ends on. You could also try to uncrimp the ends of the old ones and reattach them to the wires. You can use a generic crimping tool like they sell at K-Mart. It has an opening for plug wires.

That is the cheap way to do it.
