At the time I was looking for a set of GT40s, all I could find was the GT40Ps. I was scared away from them because of the header thing and had a pair of E7s on the shelf...

Where did you get the tails for $36 each? Were they mandrel bent? Where can I find them by friday?
Advance Auto Corral has TONS of GT40's for sale almost constantly. 1300 for a complete ho? add 200 bucks and that what I paid for my Complete brand new explorer motor. Tossed in a bigger cam and a double roller timing chain...should be near 300 hp at the flywheel

Still the best bang for the buck........$199 for NEW bare heads and less than $300 for high flow valves and high lift springs. Add shipping and even pay someone else to put them together and you are ready to bolt them onto your engine for less than $600.
Compare that to the $800 plus shipping Thumpers.

Sweet, thank for the info. I'll just checked their website. Are they the Walker 44279 tail pipes $37 each? Takes a day for delivery.

My E7s are almost done. I talked to the shop and they told me the E7TEs will have stock valves. The exhaust ports will be fully ported. The intake ports are ported in the valve bowl and widened where the ports neck down for the pushrods. The valve job will have 3 angles on the seats and 2 angles on the valves. We'll see how they turn out.

I'm not going to the dyno this morning. I'll wait until I complete the exhaust. I was looking at the exhaust manifolds and four catalytic converters yesterday and.... .
