    crankshaft pulley

will my old 1984 302 engine crankshaft pulley work with my new 1977 302 engines balancer. i have the imbalaces figured out just wasnt sure about the crankshaft pulleys being changeable. the 1977 302 balancer has the 4 bolt holes just like the 1984 does.

I would think if the spacing is the same and the bolt holes are the same... they should work like a champ. just measure the depth of the pulley from the mounting point to the belt channel and compare notes. if it's all the same... have at it.

The 77 had v-belts only and the 84 had the flat serpentine belts, right? As long as you use the pulley set from the 77 or the 84, you are most likely okay.

If the belts don't line up (forward and back from the front of the car,) you might have to use a spacer on the harmonic balencer. I had this issue when I put a new harmonic balencer on my 72 LTD convertable. I got the spacer from Summit.

should be the same bolt pattern on the balancer.
