    yeah but you can always put the motor in a half ton truck, a mustang or even another merc.

    Should just buy a crate engine, 3500 is a lot of money and considering it only has 138,000 on it it shoudln't even need a rebuild till its got another 200,000 on it. If you want more power just get a better intake, 4 barrel, flat tops, a bigger cam and some better flowing heads.

        Walk the aisles. Around exhaust components if I remember right. The package is going to be a "universal" squished down acordian tube, maybe 6" long total, usually in a plain white ctc plastic bag. When you get it, you work it to length trying not to crush it. Just be patient.

        It'll probably go by the name heat riser pipe/tube if he is looking through the computer. If you can, go during the day when the old guys are working (and the kids are at school). Then you have a hope that they will know what you are talking about without having to get into a long drawn out discussion of how the world worked before EFI. =-)
