    Please help! Explosive oil leak!

My headache today is a mysterious hose that goes from The cylindrical part in back of the Vapor Canister(tin can, right?) has a hose the clearly labels it as (vac)
I have no idea where it goes. You know the hose I'm speaking of, because it wraps around the back of the engine and I have NO idea where it goes.

So After changing that pesky rocker cover gasket on the passenger side, I thought I had all my hoses in the right place(from removing the fuel injectors), but I'm getting a really awful leak 30 seconds after start up, right under the manifold where the oil dipstick is. Upon checking the dipstick, oil flew everywhere when I removed it. This is really confusing me, and I woder if the two are related. I tried to find the source of the leak and the smoke, but something is totally in my way, whether its the engine or wheel well, so can't pinpoint the exact location. I already owe my mechanic, so I'm all alone with this one, and its my DD.

to be a bit more specific, right by the oil pan a bunch of oil drips down. but it's coming from ABOVE that point, but I cant see it. I do wanna take the injectors out and start over, but kinda on a time crunch. Hope I was specific enough.

check the PCV valve and make sure the breather hose is hooked up. If you have EFI 5.0L, then the PCV screen may be clogged and this will allow pressure to build in the engine which will shoot oil out of the dipstick. tin can... soup can... that's the vacuum reservoir for the climate control. That hose either goes to the firewall or to the check valve at the firewall.

ohhhh yeahh Its an 89. and it only shoots out if I remove the dipstick. but from below where I can see from above, there's a leak and smoke is coming out.

I added A picture of the engine before the job. There are colored circles for reference.

The Yellow Circle is where the hose I speak of leads to.

The White Circle is referring to that wire, which is broken, and I can't figure out what to do about that...Broken as is I plugged the wire right, but the wire leads to nowhere.

The Green Circle, what can i say? There is nothing there right now. and that bothers me.

Drivers side, well that is where the smoke comes out, but definetly the back. That's really all I know for sure. I had hooked up the hose that goes from where the air filter hooks up(the hose that goes to where you put the oil). But I forgot to add, there is definetly a hissing, but now it's not so pronounced. it's still running high, but it's not accelerating by its own anymore(that was a fun test drive)

If oil is getting pushed out of the dipstick, you have terrible oil blowby (the engine is worn out). Changing the screen under the PCV valve (at the very back of the lower intake manifold, its hard to see/get too) may help, it may not.

The hose for the vapor canister solenoid goes to a connection on the front of the upper intake manifold, under the center. There is a junction there in stock form, just behind the distributor, but if it wasn't unplugged there, the upper has to come off in order to reach the port. If you didn't do it while the upper was off, replace all of the hoses under there. They're usually all shot at this point. change the PCV parts out too.

If the valve cover gaskets have been changed, and the oil that they already vomited out of the motor has been washed off, then another common leak point back there is the rear of the lower intake manifold. Theres a cork gasket back there and it will petrify and dump oil out the back. if the top of the transmission is wet and gooey, the lower intake gasket is a fair bet. if you didn't degrease the motor after replacing the valve cover gaskets, it will have to burn that old oil off first before it stops smoking.
