I can't find my EVTM right now to run you through which wires to check for what, but the only thing in the clutch power circuit for the AC is the switch at the climate control unit itself, the low pressure switch, and the cutout relay that is controlled by the ECM. I just can't remember if power goes to the pressure switch or the relay first. The relay should be the one near the washer fluid bottle that lives by itself under the plastic cover.
So he can just jumper across that cutout relay as well as the pressure-switch wires, and see if things start working, eh?

86Vicky - Good call to look for continuity between ground and one side of the clutch plug. Though, as that suggests, I'd try checking that for continuity as well as voltage.

Yes, though you don't want to check continuity on a circuit connected to a battery.

True, thus why the continuity check should be done with everything powered down.

Well I have some good news...

I spent all of today ripping apart the wire harness that contains the two wires from the clutch. I'm pleased to report that it was not the wiring at all or the connectors. The Switch or Relay by the window washer fluid was blown?? Dead? Fried? Any ways my AC is working perfectly now.

            Now my next two problems...

            1. Cruise Control
            2. Fixing the two error codes.

              1. What's wrong with it? Doesn't work at all, kinda works?
              Does the horn work?
              Do you have a tripminder?

              2. fix the broken hoses.

The cruise control doesn't work period. It used to.........

I feel at this point I shouldn't mention something....

About 6 years ago my father was working on the car and he forgot to put the linkage back on correctly. As he drove it the leakage broke or came off causing the trans to be destroyed. From there it sat for about a year. 4-5 years ago I took it out and had the trans rebuilt (new torque converter). And the car was back on the road. (yes first car!)

Now I've done some reading and I have come crossed a couple of parts in the trans (it sounds) I'm starting to wonder if those parts ever made it back in....

But assuming they are- ( I don't have the equipment or the knowledge to check, unless it doesn't require taking the trans apart/off? ) As I was looking at the AC wires in the harness towards the driver side window.. I took some time and tried to clean the connectors and check the wires leading to, what I believe is part of the Cruise Control.

I was attempting today to follow this so called guide (http://www.justanswer.com/mercury/2x...e-control.html) that I found off of google... But I can't make heads or tails of it.... Well I can... I'm just getting frustrated.

                EDIT: Almost forgot...

Horn works perfect, and no I don't have a tripminder.. I don't think?

Well I went back out and rechecked my error codes to make sure.. I haven't checked them after I started messing with the AC. Any ways I checked it and now I have a couple more codes:

12 RPM at idle out of range/high ---- V-8: RPM out of range (throttle kicker).
13 RPM at idle out of range/low
21 R Cooling Temperature sensor out of specified range or ECT out of range
                  44 Look at 94
94 Horses or possibly a Thermactor Air Diverter Solenoid..... or wiring???

What I'm going to do is look at the horses and the Thermactor Air diverter solenoids and check the wiring of these. Error codes 12 and 13 made my eye twitch. Because the car as been acting a little jumpy? Running a little rough. I thought it had to do with the higher heat temps...

                  Thoughts, comments?

In regards to your extra codes, your car wasn't warmed up, hense the code 21. 12 and 13 involve the IAC and possibly vaccum leaks or incorrect throttle screw stop.

The cruise has nothing to do with the transmission. The linkage is next to the throttle linkage on the throttle body. It goes from there to the servo on inner fender well on the drivers side.

The only thing cruise-related at the transmission is the VSS, which goes on the end of the speeometer cable. if you have a speedometer that works, the VSS is there. it does have a wire that plugs into it that you may want to check. Follow the cable to the tailshaft of the transmission and make sure theres a plug connected to the sensor that lives on the end of the cable.
