    Power Steering Fluid?

Should I use store brand PS fluid, or an ATF?

I seem to remember Type F ATF being recommended? Could I use Mercon V, or is that a no-no? I have some Type F, but I'm not sure that is best. The system is virtually empty.

How much fluid will it take?

    Thanks, guys.

Ford F is what the factory recommends. It will work on damn near anything you put in there, but thinner PS and ATF fluids tend to make it noisier. The F is a bit thicker, so it shuts the pump up. I want to say total capacity is around 2 quarts if its bone dry.

I could be mistaken but I believe there is a page in the owners manual that states the fluid capacities for the car.

I've been running Merc V. I think 2qt's will do it.

Use what you want. I use Dexron ATF myself because thats what I have lots of, and I didn't want to buy type F just for the mgm.
