Found a 84 GM coupe for sale.

    At http://corvallis.craigslist.org/cto/2271437498.html.
Probably needs alot of work: paintjob, aod overhaul engine overhaul etc...
What dot you guys think? I want to find a decent coupe and swap 88-91 fenders hood front and rear clip and trunklid basically make a never made 88-91coupe.

Since this is a Grand Marquis....the newer ones you mentioned (88-91) have body line moldings just above the lower crease in the door. You will never find a correct molding so it will end up looking way out of place having the bumper molding fold into the fenders and just stop because the door is naked.

I guess, theoretically, it could be done with a CV? That would be kinda neat.

Yes. Just tough to change out the ass end stuff and make it all look stock.

My '87 coupe is the first 'boxy' box I have ever owned. And to be honest, I like this front, and especially the rear, better. I like how the rear lights/ tail extensions are sloped, as opposed to nearly vertical on the '88-'91 cars.

In my opinion, a tudor CV looks best with the earlier style front and rear fascias.

Two doors look dumb with the later fascias...
