In your future setup, you're not just supplying power to starter solenoid, you're also supplying current to the TFI module and whatnot.
As for the cruise, I'm willing to bet you have a bad connection in the steering wheel/vacuum leaks.

ah screw that mod then. no my cruise control servo(the black box) thing under the dash i think doesnt work i have no vacuum leaks everything is hooked up.

When you added the tripminder, how did you attach the vss wiring?

Its a shame the cruise control button ignition switch really wouldn't work. I think it would have been a cool mod.

from the wires running to the cruise control servo. though none of my cruise control buttons work and all vacuum lines are hooked up.

CC module may be dead... steering wheel wiring may be suspect... since the cruise didn't work before... I'd suspect the buttons are gooped up or the module is toast first before the vacuum solenoid being bad... but that's an easy test. Pull a vacuum on the solenoid with all other ports on it plugged and see if it pulls the cable.

did it work before you messed with the wiring? Is the vacuum dump valve properly positioned?

check the vacuum dump valve at the top of the brake pedal. If its not fully depressed with the brake pedal up, thats your problem.

That should be simple enough, remove the vacuum line from the cruise servo that goes into the passenger compartment, put a vacuum pump on it, and see if it holds vacuum, if it holds vacuum, this is not your problem, if it doesn't, this is your problem.
