    Adequate Fuel Flow?

So, here I was, psyching myself up for dropping the tank

In a last second wild hair, I decided to perform one last test. I hooked my electric inline fuel pump off of my off-road rig to the LTD's fuel tank, and let it flow into a glass jar with measurements.

What I got was 4oz of gas in about 33 seconds. Im pretty sure that is enough, but would like a second opinion.

I know for sure that is more than I seen come out of the fuel line at the carb during the first test, when I saw it flow great at first, and slow down to a drip 3 seconds before the carb's bowl ran empty.

    Everybody's opinion is GREATLY appreciated!

Nevermind. I compared it to flow coming out of the hose at the carb with the hard line connected to the fuel can rather than the tank. Results were much better. In fact, it ran great. I was able to dig a hole in the yard, which it wouldnt do before.

I used compressed air to blow into the line at the tank. After that, I hooked everything back up, and took it for a spin. I got it up to 70mph on the county road I live on, turned around, fried a tire,:smirk: and it started acting up again on my way back.

So yeah, definitely a problem in the tank. Thanks anyways guys.

i was gonna suggest putting a vacuum gauge between the inlet side of the fuel pump and the fuel tank. If it shows vacuum, there is a problem with either the pickup in the tank, or the tank drawing a vacuum. I've seen clogged vents on fuel tanks cause the tank to pull a vacuum after a while, which keeps the fuel pump from drawing any fuel.
