power steering pressure hose

    power steering pressure hose

    Hey guys,

    I need to replace the hose & the only wrench that seems to fit on the pump end fitting is 18mm.
    As per usual, I don't have an 18 line wrench, the open end sucessfully began to round the fitting off LOL...
    I am attempting to locate one locally. Before I spend more money that I don't have, I want to be sure I am correct...

    So all that yapping just to get to the question... is 18mm the correct size?

    For the really large fitting in the pump, or the end of the line itself? The line should be standard, 11/16 I want to say. The big ass fitting in the pump you don't unthread, just need something to hold it. No idea what that is, looks about like a 12" adjustable to me.

      Must have been a goofy fitting 11\16 didn't fit, but 18mm did.
      The replacement hose was 5\8 BTW......

        ok, maybe they are 5/8. Dunno, just remembered its some standard size. Who knows, you may have had some oddball part on there, or maybe some strange metric transition part.
