Not sure if you have measured the rotors yet.
My understanding is the 98+ up front discs are 12.4" while the stock, box body rotors are 11"

brakes and suspension are some cool stuff, but lets get down to the meat and potatoes... does the motor run yet?

Hey Justin, I think I see an exhaust leak. The headers are supposed to be attached to the engine, like with bolts

No, I never measured one. Don't have a set handy to check the size.

got the transmission installed today, i had planned to get the motor fired up today, but ran out of daylight.......we worked till almost 10........alot of running today picking upmisc hardware, transmission fluid, and a tie rod sleeve, and we went to harbor freight, and i bought a pr of 6 ton jackstands, so we could get the transmission on the jack from the side of the car..........well that didnt work, jack didnt lift high enough lol
hopefully the car will be running tommorow, and then on to the 3.73 and rear discs

I had my car on standard jacks... slid the transmission under the car, then used a couple blocks and a small jack to get it on the bigger jack. I'd lift the tail, slip a block under the pan, then use a bar to lift the front part, slip a block. Repeat until it's high enough, then get the main jack under the pan with a piece of wood so it doesn't get bent up.

Oh, and I had the converter properly seated before I slid the transmission under. Once it's on the jack I verified it still spun freely without binding. I did this about 6/7 times without problems. All your troubles Scott would have been solved if you would asked me for advice

Yep, that's the method of choice there. I use it every time I install a tranny.

That's basically how I did the 3 in the 87...try doing that in grass....even less fun. I remember falling asleep under the vic one of the nights while working on it.
