My box runs the a/c compressor in the defrost and the defrost/floor settings. I find it obnoxious, since I'd like to be able to use the defrost position to keep the window defrosted without the mileage loss that the a/c compressor gives me.

I actually notice the window not clearing as well when I come out of an automatic car wash. Steams up like a motherfucker and takes a while to get rid of it...but my A/C didn't work when it was still installed?sigpic

I've been planning on doing that for awhile. I want a switch with an indicator light in it so that I can enable the compressor with the switch and then have the light come on only when the compressor's actually engaged.
I dunno how I'd lift just the snowflake button off of a car without having to get the whole panel it's mounted into.
