Need help with 1987 5.0 in Town Car

    try unhooking the egr vacuum line and capping it off. If it quits stumbling, the egr vacuum regulator is sticky and pulling the valve full open when it shouldn't. BTDT with my car. It had an off-idle hesitation for like 3 years that I never found until I started monkeying with the EGR system and saw what it was doing.

      Ok I'l try that. Couldn't get it to the mechanic yet. Stumbles too easily. Barely got it out of the driveway. I'm gonna look into the cat on the passenger side as I think it is plugged. The TPS travels goo. I used an analog meter on it and didn't see any drops.
