replacing 89 5.0L passenger VC gasket

Does anyone have a procedure list for the passenger valve cover gasket for an 89 5.0L? I already replaced the driver side...but I'm curious if I need to remove the A/C compressor, intake, etc. for the passenger side.

    Thanks.

Remove the plenum and you will have just enough room to squeeze the cover out in between all of the ac stuff. It is tight but it comes out without removing the compressor.

yeah getting it through the hose junk is a pain but it's not to complicated. If your taking them off i would suggest this would be the time to clean them and repaint them whatever color you want if you want to before putting them back on.

Don't forget a new PCV valve and the breather screen below it, and the grommet too if it doesn't seal well. Also those vacuum lines under there usually need to be replaced if they are original.

Yeah be sure to check all that. No need to remove the AC stuff. Ya just got lift up on the cover and twist and squeaze between the stuff. It's not as bad as it looks. Course I done it a few times.

And be sure to get all the cork gasket off the heads and valve covers.
