    fuel economies?

    Hi!

I thought I remembered much better fuel economy when I bought this car 4 months ago and drove it 250miles from pittsburgh. Low-mid 20s, doing all highway.

I've since done many improvements, and it feels like it runs better. However, I finally made sure to reset my trip odometer after the last fill up to see what I was getting in the way of fuel economy, and... I only got 15mpg mixed :-( Hard to say, that's a combination of highway, highway on rush hour, and city driving at 30-40mph.

Is that normal, what everyone else is getting here?
Are there systems I can look at fixing up to improve fuel economy?

I get low 20s on the highway in my 88 MGM. in town I only manage about 13. Mixed about 15 on the normal commute similar to your combination.

these things do get WAY better mileage on the highway than city. It's often worth going 20+% farther on a trip if it means you're on a road with no stop lights and a 50+Mph speed limit, in terms of fuel economy.

I get 13 or so around town. And its a much faster ride than a stock one. I rarely downshift out of 3rd.
