Thanks, Mang. I put him in his place.

Jon, yeah, I am selling it, but the fucker who wants to buy it keeps telling me he's coming to get it and never actually gets it. And I don't have cash yet. Oh well.

BTW, what the hell else can I do with this car?? I'm out of ideas. Free ones anyway.

Well, I've decided to abandon the project. I'm going to strip the car and send it to the junkyard this week.

Now, before you jump all over me, hear me out...It took me a lot of time and realizing things before I decided on this.

First, this car has MAJOR cancer. There is a huge hole in the 1/4 panel which I patched with bondo, but that's kinda ghetto. The trunk floor is fucked and most seams are rusting thru, the floor pan has a few holes in it theres rust under the windows(which means they'd have to be removed if I wanted to paint the car). The body is too far gone to save.

Second, mechanically this car is beyond shit. Basically I need to replace the whole drivetrain. Not worth it with a cancerous body. The engine as we all know is fucked, basically needs every gasket new. Actually basically it needs a new engine. The trans was starting to slip a little bit too. The rear end...2.73 open with drums(doesn't NEED to be replaced, well actually yes it does).

Third, body mounts are rotted, like 1000 dings in the body the whole driver's door is fucked up. Hinges, window motor, window, locks, door pull it's bent at the front edge.

Fourth, Even if I did go thru the trouble to swap engines, it wont pass the emissions test, which needs to be done as soon as I renew the plates which expire this month. I still dont have cats or a smog pump. Screwed there.

And last, I thought about selling it, but that wouldn't be worth it for me at all, since I have the exhaust system which cost like $600 total, guages, sway bars, police speedo 88 body parts and so on...just too much money and extra parts into the car to sell it for basically nothing. Also, even if I wanted to sell it, I fucking can't cause I don't know where the fuck the title is, I don't think I even got one from the state. But either way, it would cost me $70 and take 6 months to get a new one. Literally.

So, what I'm going to do is begin my search for a clean body 2 door. And when I get it, I'll swap all of my parts onto that.

I'm sorry to hear about your luck man. It sucks when you put so much work into something and then find out it was for nothing.

I'm glad you didn't get too far into it, and then come to this realization. Make the best of it man!

Yeah, I agree with Blaze. Take whats good, get what you can, and get out from under it. Go buy what you really want and put money into that instead.
