The time is coming to replace all the front and rear bushings on the '88 GM. Anyone know where to find polyurethane components? Are there even polyurethane bushing kits available for these cars?

The TRW replacemants, and some of the other replacements at Advance are poly. The 92-95 stuff is also the same. At least by looking at part numbers online in advances catalog...Builder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons

Advance Auto's. The bushings I looked at were the same. I was comparing a 89 to a 92-95. The shaft kits are the same. Some of the lowers were the same. I think it's because the newer ones use the police/taxi style of the boxes, the same bushing F&R of the lower arm.
On the one ford parts list, the bushings showed that 84-98 were the same.Builder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons

One of the things that drives me nuts is that the apps don't show upper/lower differentiation on a couple of them. Looks like the police ones might be a problem, but if you cross reference them at Ford, you might be able to find what is the same and use the newer bushings.Builder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons

The uppers aren't different-how they mount did. They stopped using the shafts, since they already had the adjustment in the control arm.
If you look at the 92 application on advance, they list a ES bushing kit for police and non police...
The police and taxi use the same bushing on the front and rear of the control arms. Some wierd PITA stuff. Need to get into the dealer and look in thier computer....
Some thing you could use...(stu)

92-95 police cars did not have the threaded bushings like 79-91.........the difference betw the 98-02 bushings and the 92-95's is that the newer cars have mounting tabs on the frame with 2 bolts and nuts holding the arm to the frame rather than the shafts...............92-02 upper arms are useable for the big brake swap.........just need to change bushings and add the shafts
does es make the entire bushings, or do the shells need to be reused?
