    Rear end vibration

I noticed a slight vibrtation this morning that seems to be from the rear. Starts about 30 and lets up at 35. Barely noticeable, but I notice every little noise or strange feeling. Any ideas?

    Also
I have also noticed a noise from my AOD. It is sort of a whiny moan when I accelerate. Not everytime, just on occasions. Seems to be throttle related because I can stop it by letting up. Could it be a vacuum leak?

Probobly a worn bearing in the rear axle, most likely the axle shaft bearings.

Tranny noise is probobly just hydrolic noise, nothing you can really do about it, and it's not nescecerily a bad thing. Try changing the fluid or maybe an addative might help as well.

Will it get progressively worse, or fail all at once?

Could be a good excuse to switch to 3.55

I could get worse over time, but failing takes a really long time, or something really bad.

He's right it could be that, I forget that not everone has grease fitting on their U-joints. It's a well worth the investment, it's very cheap, and it's easy too.

              True.
I had my rear U go out on my LTD wagon. Drove it for a week with no bearings in it. Shook like a banshee...
              :slug:

Will definately give that a looking into.

alot of AOD's have a whining turbine like sound when accelerating in first gear. Does it "clunk" when you let off the gas and then get back on it?

Well, after lowering my Air Shocks back down to 30 lbs instead of the tooth rattling 120, the vibration seems to be gone. I am guessing it is the Universal joints and the angle of the drive train brought attention to it. Gonna change them payday...
