I've reused those several times. Unless you damage the gasket, chances are it will work. If it idles high for no obvious reason, its leaking and you didn't get away with it.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

The fel pro stuff is good, sometimes hard to tighten on if it is the rubbery stuff (I forgot the technical name) because it will slide if you don't tighten evenly.
