I've noticed AOD's are very touchy animals.

The rule I use is not to put it in OD at anything less than 45 or 50. My car doesnt seem to complain much. My car also has the clunk on OD engagement and from what I can understand is normal. They're strange birds. But the late ones are awesome. I've almost got 200k on mine.
