anyon use an explorer intake upper lower and throttle body

wondering if its pretty straight forward to use the explorer intake on my ho motor in my towncar. take off the metal 90* bend of the explorer intake, (or can i just flip the metal bend?), and the tb linkage is fine? (as its supposed to be different from the mustang one?)

if i get it off ebay ill have a stang ho intake upper lower, and tb up for grabs.

did the explorer come with 18# injectors?

i have an explorer upper/lower intake that i plan on installing on my towncar.......sell the elbow......you dont need it.....the lower will bolt on, one thing you need to have the fitting for the heater pipe drilled and tapped.....the upper will bolt right on, use a bored out to 63mm stock tc egr spacer, and the explorer throttle body (yea i know the explorer tb is 65 mm, max you can bore the lopo egr spacer is 63mm) i have that tb/spacer setup and it's fine

The linkage is different, you still need to change it. The elbow does come off, and the upper can be flipped. The temp sensor needs to be relocated or the intake needs to be drilled and tapped, the EGR will be deleted if it's off a 97-up explorer. The EGR spacer will be a bottleneck in the setup, unless you make a mustang one work or find a 93-95 SVT lightning one. THe vacuum lines might need some swapping under the upper, but that shoudn't be difficult.

What is a heater pipe? Are you referring to the external EGR tube?

I'm guessing you mean the fittings for the steel water line that runs along the intake back to the heater core?

Heater tubes do not require any extra holes to be tapped in an Explorer intake.

You are correct if you are referring to the Air Charge Temp sensor.
